I live about 30 minutes from the Yarra Valley but I drive through it quite often when heading north on a trip. I’ve always wanted to head down for a couple hours and just shoot the surroundings so on christmas eve of 2013 my girlfriend and I hit it up during golden hour and this is what I came back with. I really only scratched the surface of what there is to shoot so more adventures are needed.
I love shooting photos from a moving car, it’s not often I am a passenger in a car but when I am and it’s in a new city I will try make the most of it. A few months back on a trip around California I drove around the city with my friend Chris Bracamonte and shot these random photos heading to different spots we were riding.
Jason Watts is from Brisbane, AUS but whilst he was in the USA last year he tagged along on a trip we took to Woodward West and proceeded to shred the place. Jason was always smiling and just going about his business enjoying the parks. I hit him up to film some clips so he had something too look back on from his time there and this is what came of it. Some of the dirt clips were a little dark for my liking due to the sun going down but Jason’s riding would out shine the filming on any given day…
Shooting photos of people is definitely one of my favourite styles to shoot. Be it of my friends or random people out in the world I am into it. I am not one to approach people too shoot so usually it’s stealth mode.
This video is from the first half of 2013. It was Jack’s first full length Colony BMX video and he went is so hard for it. We are not far off finishing filming for his next video so keep an eye out for that.
Jamie is a good friend of mine who kills it on a board. Up until recently he was living pretty close to me so we would always head out on missions together. I don’t shoot much skateboarding but I do enjoy it when I do.
A video series we created mid 2013 filmed within the city of Melbourne with anyone that came out with me. Most of the time these would be our weekly Wednesday afternoon/evening sessions. At first i wanted to drop these more frequently but after I finished the trailer I knew I would get real into it and spend more time on each video. Below is the trailer and the first full video with the 2nd video to drop late January 2014.
