I spent a good chunk of the past 18 months filming with a solid bunch of humans around AUS for Colony’s latest full length Still Having Fun which also ties in with it being 20 years of the brand. It took me 2 months to edit this project and although it almost broke me a few times thanks to my high OCD when it comes to matching footage to music we got there in the end I am really stoked on how it came out.

Massive thanks to all the riders for putting up with me being pretty militant when it came to footage, Clint for giving me free reign as always, Anyone that helped film for me when I couldn’t do so, especially Troy Charlesworth and Adam Lievesley.

I have always liked the look of the OG milkbars that you come across on your travels. Be it the unique typography, the old tiles on the shop fronts or the brand signs that haven’t moved for 40 years, it all draws me visually to them. These are becoming few and far between these days so I wanted to document some of them from my local area.

Although I’ve gone through the Black Spur a handful of times I’ve never really shot it so I set out early one morning recently with my girlfriend and we trekked around a few locations along with a road side pull over and I finally got the ball rolling. My main intension was drone shots and once the rain cleared (and the fog) i was able to get some shots I was happy with.

Last week I got up early and headed out about 45 minutes from my place to the Yarra Valley and up near Kinglake chasing fog and getting some drone shots. I got pretty lucky and scored a bunch I was happy with. Most of these were shot in the Dixons Creek area along with the Kinglake area.
